Hochul made her statement while touring a prototype of the new Vassar Brothers Medical Center’s patient pavilion on Jan. 5 with county and city leaders, according to Time Warner Cable News.
When completed, the $500 million, seven-story building will house a new emergency department, private patient rooms and updated operating suites, according to Time Warner Cable News, which reported that the construction project is the largest in Poughkeepsie’s history.
The hospital’s patient pavilion is expected to be the size of two football fields, according to Time Warner Cable News.
